Bajaj Group बजाज समूह
Established in 1926 during India's struggle for independence under the ethical guidance of Mahatma Gandhi, Bajaj Group pioneered mass vehicular mobility for the common citizen. In the 1960s, it established extensive manufacturing at Akurdi and later expanded to the mega-facility at Chakan, turning Pune into the automotive capital of India. From the ubiquitous Chetak that mobilized middle-class India to the high-performance Pulsar and electric platforms exported worldwide, Bajaj redefined Indian manufacturing competitiveness.

Kalyani Group • Bharat Forge भारत फोर्ज (कल्याणी समूह)
Founded in 1961 in Pune, Bharat Forge commenced as a modest forging shop to supply chassis parts to Indian commercial vehicle makers. Through aggressive technological modernization, dual-strike presses, and specialized metallurgy, Bharat Forge built the world's largest single-location precision forging complex in Mundhwa, Pune. In recent decades, the Kalyani Group transformed into a critical sovereign defense powerhouse, indigenously engineering heavy artillery guns (ATAGS, Bharat-52), aerospace titanium forgings, and specialized armored defense platforms.

Over 65% of Tata Sons' equity is held by philanthropic trusts funding healthcare and education.

Kirloskar Group किर्लोस्कर समूह
In 1888, Laxmanrao Kirloskar began fabricating iron plows in Belgaum to liberate Indian farmers from wooden plows. In 1910, he transformed a barren cactus-ridden wilderness in Sangli district into Kirloskarvadi—Maharashtra's first model industrial township with worker housing, clean sanitation, and progressive schools. Under Shantanurao Kirloskar, the group scaled into a global force in centrifugal pumping, diesel engines, and heavy metallurgy, exporting high-precision pumps to over 40 countries decades before India's economic liberalization.
