Founded in 1961 in Pune, Bharat Forge commenced as a modest forging shop to supply chassis parts to Indian commercial vehicle makers. Through aggressive technological modernization, dual-strike presses, and specialized metallurgy, Bharat Forge built the world's largest single-location precision forging complex in Mundhwa, Pune. In recent decades, the Kalyani Group transformed into a critical sovereign defense powerhouse, indigenously engineering heavy artillery guns (ATAGS, Bharat-52), aerospace titanium forgings, and specialized armored defense platforms.
